Who is the course for – this course is a great introductory playwork training for those interested in gaining a better understanding of the importance of play, playwork and how playworkers work with children.
This course could be run for parents, young people in school or volunteers, as example.
What roles is this for – it does not qualify learners to work in registered settings but is an excellent stepping stone into other qualifications and to support confidence building. Would be a good course for those starting new into playwork or volunteering within the setting.
What to expect – the course uses hands on activities to explore the benefits and importance play, and the of the playworker. It is delivered in a very dynamic, hands-on way, delivered over 10 hours over 2 days. A workbook will be completed during the sessions, to be handed in on the 2nd session.
