Awareness Days

Spring Equinox (March 20th 2025)

The Spring Equinox marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the moment when day and night are approximately equal in length, symbolising balance and the renewal of life. The Spring Equinox is a time when many cultures celebrate the rejuvenation of nature, the planting of crops, and various seasonal festivals that honour the Earth’s renewal.

How to Celebrate the Spring Equinox in your Club:

  • Spend Time in Nature: Welcome the arrival of spring by spending time outdoors. This is a perfect time to connect with nature and appreciate the changes in the environment.
  • Plant a Garden: Start a garden or plant flowers to celebrate the season of growth.

Red Nose Day (March 21st 2025)

Red Nose Day is a global fundraising campaign dedicated to ending child poverty and supporting vulnerable children and communities. The campaign uses humour and entertainment to bring people together for a serious cause, encouraging individuals and organisations to raise funds and awareness for programs that provide essential services like education, health care, and food security. Red Nose Day is known for its distinctive red noses, which participants wear as a symbol of their commitment to the cause.

How to Celebrate Red Nose Day in your Club

  • Wear a Red Nose: purchase a red nose and wear it proudly on Red Nose Day. By doing so, you show your support for the cause and help raise awareness about child poverty.
  • Organise a Fundraiser: Plan a fundraising event, such as a cake stall, talent show, or fun run, to raise money for Red Nose Day.
  • Spread the Word: Use social media to share your involvement in Red Nose Day and encourage others to participate or donate.
