Awareness Days

Father’s Day  21st June 2026

Celebrating and recognising the value of each Father figure:

  • Dads
  • Grandfathers (grandad, grandpa, papa being some of the terms of endearment used to recognise this role within many families)
  • A wide range of paternal bonds

The influence of fathers: we express gratitude, strengthen family bonds, and acknowledge the love, care, and sacrifices of fathers.

Common traditions include giving cards and or gifts, sharing meals, and spending quality time together.

Father’s Day is typically the third Sunday in June and across Wales we encourage reflection on parenting and family heritage.

Father’s Day serves as both a personal and societal acknowledgment of the vital role father figures play, honouring their legacy and contributions across generations.
