NCFE Level 3 Award in Transition to Playwork (L3 ATPW)

Who is the course for – This course is specifically designed for anyone who already holds a full Level 3 or above in Childcare, Youth Work, Education or Forest School. It enables participants to build on their existing learning and become a qualified Playworker without the need to complete another full diploma.

What roles is this for – On completion this course qualifies anyone to work or lead a Playwork setting. We cannot accept qualifications that have been completed through CPD sites

What to expect –

The course covers, The Playwork Principles, Children’s Right to Play, Play Spaces, the Play Cycle, Safeguarding, Reflective Practice and much more.

Delivery models vary, we currently offer the following options:

9 online sessions of 2 hours, followed by course work to complete each week
4 online sessions of 4.5 hours with homework set each session
4 in person sessions of 4.5 hours with homework set each session

Eligibility requirements –

Employed in a Childcare or Playwork Setting
Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification and provide the certificate as proof (additional information may be requested depending on currency of certificate provided)
Have the right to live and work in UK
Be 18 years or over at the start of the course
