The Training and Support Programme seeks to address the recruitment and retention programme for the Playwork sector. With over 500 participants already enrolled on courses with Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs through this programme, we are working hard to both bring new people into the sector and qualify established staff. Throughout the financial year 2025-26 we continue to have extensive opportunities for fully funded Playwork training. 

Interested in starting in starting a career in Playwork, volunteering in the sector, or just starting out; the Level 2 Award in Playwork Practice is the perfect introduction. 

The Level 2 Award in Playwork Practice qualifies staff to work in Holiday Playschemes. 

Already have a Level 2 or above in Childcare, Forest School, Youth Work or Teaching Assistant. The Level 2 Award in Playwork Practice? Once you complete a Level 2 Award in Playwork Practice you will be qualified at level 2 to work in any setting within the Playwork Sector. 

For those who already have a Level 3 in Childcare, Forest School, Youth Work or Teaching Assistant the Level 3 Award in Transition to Playwork enables you to qualify in Playwork in as little as 3 months.
