Location: primarily home-based, with some office-based working and travel throughout Wales required

Hours: 22.5 to 37 hours per week – to be agreed with successful candidate

Salary: £21,473 – £35,312 (depending on agreed upon hours) NJC 24-27

Interview date: 21 September 2026 (interview will include a 1 hour and 15 minute test to assess candidates’ suitability to the role) 

Play Wales is recruiting a Bilingual Communications Officer to join its small team.

The Bilingual Communications Officer will make a key contribution to the planning, delivery and evaluation of high-quality communications activity, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. Duties include creating bilingual content for websites and social media, coordinating marketing activity, and supporting the planning and delivery of events.

The successful candidate will be a fluent Welsh speaker with experience in communications and event coordination, and a strong commitment to inclusive, accessible and bilingual practice. Essential criteria for this post include at least two years experience in a communications-focused role, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in Welsh and English.
