Hours: Full time & Part time hours available during the school day. Monday – Friday (during term time & school holidays).

Qualifications / experience required:

A nursery assistant with a Level 3 CCPLD Qualification (Will consider a student).

– Preferably a fluent Welsh speaker, or a Welsh learner willing to enhance their language skills.

Description of Duties:

– Caring for children aged 2 years and over in a Welsh medium day nursery: 8am-6pm, open throughout the year;

– Working as part of a fun and enthusiastic team who gives excellent rated care;

– Supporting the children with their everyday routine: using the toilets, changing nappies, helping them to use their cutlery when eating, playing and encouraging the development of the children;

– Preparation, care and cleanliness of the nursery and equipment;

– Positive management of children’s behaviour;

– The planning and preparation of activities, meeting the individual needs of the children;

– Liaising with parents/guardians on their child’s day, interest and forming a strong bond with the families;

– Keeping accidents and incident reports;

– Attend staff meetings and support to enhance and grow the nursery, and any additional events;

– Any other reasonable responsibilities directed by the Manager or Senior staff;
