Hours: 15.25 Monday – Friday, during term time.

Qualifications / experience required:  

Essential  

• Level 3 Qualification in Playwork (or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years qualification recognised on the Social Care Wales Qualification Framework) 

• Enhanced DBS

Desirable 

• Safeguarding Lead / Level 3 Safeguarding Certification  

• First Aid Certified  

• Food Hygiene Certified  

• Prevent Training

Description of duties: To act as the Person in Charge and take full operational charge of the setting in the Manager’s absence. The Deputy Playwork Leader will support the day-to-day running of sessions, drive high standards of care, child safety, and wellbeing, coordinate activities, and lead snack preparation. Working closely within a team focused environment, the Deputy will contribute creative ideas to activity planning, support floor staff, and maintain excellent communication with parents, school contacts, and management.
