Hours: 15 per week, Monday – Friday, during term time, after school hours.  

Salary: £13 – £13.50 per hour 

Qualifications / experience required:  

• Level 3 in Playwork or CCLD is an advantage. Opportunities to further develop qualifications within role.  

• Playwork/Childcare experience with children aged 3-11 years essential 

• First Aid certificate is an advantage 

• Food Hygiene Certificate is an advantage 

• Safeguarding Certificate is an advantage 

• CIW knowledge is an advantage but training can be provided if needed. 

• 2 References will be required at interview stage. 

• A full CV (with no time gaps) is required prior to interview 

Description of duties:  

Creating and managing a welcoming, fun and exciting after school club setting following CIW regulations. 

Managing the day to day running of the after school club. Liaising with management and the school daily, creating a positive working relationship. Deal with questions/complaints professionally. Assisting with the day to day running of the After School Club, including setting up and clearing up, preparing snack and drinks in line with club’s Healthy Eating Policy, supervising play opportunities with children. Managing the planning and preparation of craft activities and assisting children with these. General health and safety- ensuring the play environment is safe for the children to enjoy.
