Who is the course for –
Anyone working in a Playwork setting for a minimum of 10 hours a week, has a Level 2 in Playwork, or has significant experience.
What roles is this for –
This course is best suited to Out of School Childcare, like after-school clubs as the training happens throughout the year. Once complete it qualifies the participant to lead or work in a supervisory role in any Playwork setting.
What to expect –
A 16 month course that builds on previous experience and knowledge this qualification takes a more detailed look at Playwork Theory and practice. The qualification also looks at the leadership aspects of Playwork like how to ensure policies are in line with current legislation, the voice of the child, and good practice.
Essential Skills in Maths and English are part of this course unless the participant has C or above in GCSEs in the given subject or an equivalent.
