North Wales Regional Partnership Board

The website ‘Wellbeing North Wales’ is designed to support the emotional health, wellbeing, and resilience of children, young people, families, and professionals across North Wales. Its “Children” section — and other age-based sections — are grounded in the framework of the Five Ways to Wellbeing (Connect; Be Active; Keep Learning; Give; Take Notice).

Through this structure, the website offers age-appropriate ideas, guidance, and resources for children (and their carers) to build strong emotional wellbeing. It encourages children to connect with others, stay physically active, engage in learning, appreciate their surroundings, and contribute to their communities — all recognised as important for mental health and resilience.

Additionally, the website includes practical supports: an “Explore Outside” section that helps families find accessible outdoor spaces (beaches, woodlands, playgrounds, walks) across North Wales — promoting healthy, active, nature-based experiences for children.

Overall, Wellbeing North Wales aims to give families, carers and professionals a simple, inclusive, age-appropriate toolkit: to nurture children’s emotional resilience, promote positive mental health, and help children grow, develop and thrive in their communities.
