World Book Day – 5 March 2026

World Book Day 2026 will take place on Thursday 5 March 2026.

This day is an annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading.

Join in with this national buzz within your club by:

• Encouraging children to dress up as a character from their favourite book
• Asking your children to dress up as a ‘word’
• Redesigning/creating a quiet area or a ‘Book Nook’ where children can go to read
• Asking children to redesign the cover of their favourite book
• Creating a book-themed scavenger hunt
