🌙Eid al-Adha

Eid al-Adha is one of the most important festivals in the Muslim calendar, the exact date of which depends on the sighting of the moon.

Muslims celebrate the willingness and obedience of Abraham to Allah. Eid al-Adha marks the end of Hajj which is the annual pilgrimage to Makkah and the fifth pillar of Islam. The annual pilgrimage is a significant symbol of diversity and unity where people gather from all over the world regardless of their colour, status, race, all performing the acts of worship together.

Muslims might go to the mosque for a morning prayer; sacrifice a sheep or a goat, give to charity, share meals with family and friends, send cards and give gifts.
