Hours: 30 hours per week (24 in club and 6 for paperwork and other tasks) 

Monday – Friday, during term time and school holidays 

Opening hours: 7:30 – 9:00 am & 3:00 – 6:00pm each weekday 

School holidays and INSET days, open from 7:30am – 6:00pm 

Salary: Starting at £13.75 – £14 depending on experience 

Qualifications / experience required:  

• Playworker Level 3, or above, CCLD or equivalent 

• Ability to communicate in Welsh an advantage 

• Paediatric first aid or willingness to gain certificate 

• Level 2 food hygiene and a willingness to do Level 3 

• Managerial experience in working in a childcare setting 

An Enhanced DBS check will be needed for this role. 

Description of duties:  

• Overseeing the daily operations of Breakfast, After School Club and Holiday Club 

• Shopping for, organising and serving the children snacks 

• Leading and motivating a team of childcare professionals 

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in our setting 

• Planning and implementing engaging activities 

• Liaising with parents, school staff and external agencies 

• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all relevant policies & procedures, keeping them up to date and reviewed 

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines, attending regular training, & keeping staff training up to date
