Funding Opportunities
We are delighted to share with you some funding opportunities. Don’t forget that we can support you in completing applications, so please get in touch if you need our help!
King Charles iii Charitable fund
For over 40 years, the Fund has supported His Majesty’s charitable work. The Fund is on a mission to transform lives and build sustainable communities through grant making, social investment and incubation of initiatives and projects.
The Fund has invested more than £100 million in charitable causes in the UK and overseas. We award grants to a wide range of good causes across our funding themes: Environment, Countryside, Social Inclusion, Health and Wellbeing, Heritage and Conservation and Education.
Throughout all our work we endeavour to maximise charitable impact, drawing on our funding and convening power to leverage further support from others. And to deliver this well, we ensure our governance and management are fit for purpose and in line with best practice.

Tesco Bags of Help fund
This funding aims to make a positive difference – because where our communities thrive, our business and our colleagues thrive too. Tesco Stronger Starts is managed by Groundwork who are working with Greenspace Scotland to support applicants in Scotland.
How does Tesco Stronger Starts work?
Tesco Stronger Starts is open to charities and community organisations to apply for a grant of up to £1,500. Every three months, three local good causes are selected to be in the blue-token customer vote in Tesco stores throughout the UK.
Applications are open to all local good causes, but we are currently prioritising helping projects that support children’s food security and health and local store nominated good causes.
This is not an exhaustive list and other project ideas also welcomed.
Examples include:
- School Breakfast clubs
- Holiday clubs
- Play areas
- Food banks
- Counselling and support services for children
- Equipment or non-statutory services for nurseries or schools e.g. forest schools, library books
- Equipment for Brownie, Guide or Scout Groups e.g. camping equipment, badges
- Services or equipment to support children and young people’s health
- Equipment/kit for youth sports teams

The grants can be used on capital expenditure (the purchase, maintenance or improvement of assets) or delivering projects. The grants cannot be used towards core costs such as salaries or ongoing services.
To be eligible, organisations must have been registered with the Charity Commission for over a year.
The Morrisons Foundation prioritises applications from small charities with an income of less than £1-million.
