Second Hand September is an annual campaign that encourages people to rethink their fashion habits and embrace second hand shopping.

How could your club get involved?

Consider:

• A clothes rail for parents to share clothing their child has outgrown – sports kits, or school uniform
• A coat amnesty – ask parents to donate any unwanted coats as we head into Winter. Ask for a small donation to support your club.

This week its Roald Dahl Day – a day to celebrate the magic and wonder of his stories!

Consider some activities –

• Write some splendiferous poems
• Have a party and make some scrumdiddlyumptious snacks
• Make up some silly words and everyone has to try and guess what they mean
• Visit the local library to find as many Roald Dahl books you can find

Or simply, create a cosy corner for children to read a book of their choice
