Neath and Port Talbot Capital Grant 

Looking to enhance your childcare setting? Neath Port Talbot Council’s Childcare and Early Years Capital Small Grant Scheme is now open, offering funding to help childcare providers improve facilities, expand provision, and support more families throughout the year. Priority will be given to projects that strengthen Welsh-medium and bilingual childcare, increase childcare availability, and support local community needs. 

Applications are welcomed from CIW-registered childcare providers, including childminders, day nurseries, play schemes and out of school clubs, as well as some providers currently progressing through the CIW registration process.  

Grants available from £10,000-£20,000 depending on registered childcare places.

Tata Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund 

In Autumn 2026, Neath Port Talbot Council will be launching a new community fund which aims to promote mental health and wellbeing and support the communities and individuals affected by the Tata Steel transition.

It is anticipated there will be 2 levels of funding associated with the Tata Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund:

  • Small Grants up to £10,000 
  • Large Grants up to £50,000   

Neath Port Talbot CVS is hosting an online ‘Meet the Funder’ event on Wednesday 30th September from 11.30 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. via Zoom.  This online information session will include a presentation from Neath Port Talbot Council where you can find out more about the fund, the associated criteria and the types of projects and activities that will be funded.  There will also be the opportunity for questions and answers following the presentation.
