What does Welsh Government Funded Childcare mean to Holiday Clubs in Wales?

Welsh Government Funded Childcare provides support for families across Wales to access Registered Childcare. 

Currently available for eligible families and includes access to Holiday Childcare for up to 9 weeks per year. This enables families to:  

  • Commit to regular work/ employment  
  • Increase working hours 
  • Enter training 

  

For Out of School Childcare Clubs registered to provide childcare with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) this can mean: 

  • Higher occupancy levels. 
  • More stable income streams. 
  • Greater opportunities to expand services. 
  • Increased visibility as an essential part of local childcare infrastructure. 

To find out how Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids’ Clubs can support Out of School Childcare Clubs to:
